Grey Knight Terminators, Paladins and Lord Kaldor Draigo WIP

All hail the assembly line! Whats 21 more guys in Terminator armor any way... aside from taking breaks to have a good cry these guys are almost done and all there bases are finished as well. I gave the Paladins blue accents to help be able to tell them apart when I play, as I can't stand the flag/book thingy the picture in the book shows them with. Now all that is left is to do the metal and then I will have 100% painted Grey Knights! Not to shabby for a days work!

DONE! 2 Grey Knight Interceptor Squads are DONE! I think they came out well and I went for a more urban theme on there bases that I think it fits them well. Now I just have to wait for the rest of them to get in... I hate waiting on the mail... But in the meantime I will be working on some buildings and trying to make a city board, so we will see how that goes!

It is good to be at 100% painted again and I might add a bit more here and there (like walkers and some more infantry) as I find out what more I need. Well I hope this is the last of the Imp troopers for me for a while but we will see.... I had to get these guys done so I could use them in our upcoming game on Tue. They are painted to table top like the rest of my 40k but I think they came out fine and I am so ready to play! All I got left now to paint is one Lord Commissar and one Company Commander so not to shabby!

I SO can't wait to play with these guys! I did find out something helpful too while finishing up these guys...If you are painting Pask to go IN the tank you might want to put the part that his mini stands on BEFORE you paint everything...Cuz cutting the turret apart to put it in after everything has been painted and varnished kinds sucks...you know just FYI

2 minis done in one day! This one is for my Wizy in the game we are playing right now, just to fitting to pass up on this guy :D. He was a lot of fun to paint and I was very happy with how the runes on his cloak came out. Oh in case you are wondering, he has a big bag of marshmallows in that brown sack on his belt. That way he is prepared if he should need to roast them should he actually set the world on fire.

I speed painted this one just to get him done...I do like the way he looks just not a fun one to paint, but hey he is done! And he only took about an hour of my time as well :D I am going to use him for D&D as well as another bad guy but least if I every need him for my Circle army he will be ready as well.

I also got my new shelves all set up sot the painting room is DONE! The paint shelves came from Table Top Gaming Bunker took about 3 weeks for him to make them but I think they were worth the wait :D

So taking a small break from 40k before I paint my Valkyrie to paint a mini for one of my best friends to use in our D&D game. Going with a steampunk theme to fit the game we are playing, it is after all hard to beat airships! Painting room is done! Out with the old small table and boxes and such stuck everywhere. I cleared everything out of the room and David helped me build a computer desk and painting table from scratch, I even made Ethan his own table :D. I think it came out fantastic.

Today I got cracking on the last of my Cadian troopers, this group has the command HQ squad and I made 3 each of flamers and grenade troopers. All that's left for this group is to do the flesh and slap them on a base. Then all that will be left before I start on the rest of the armor is the 3 heavy weapons teams.

40k Cadian Battleforce

And so it starts all over again!! BUT this time i have an airbrush! so today i base coated and highlighted 11 of my Cadians in under an hour. I did the green and brown with the airbrush, then put a wash on the brown and a highlight, did the faces, hands and guns. the 2 took me another 20 mins so that comes out to about 20 min a mini not to shabby!

So i broke down and got me an airbrush, since i HATE painting vehicles and such. And... i SO should have gotten one a long time ago. This is a plain i picked up for $4 at hobby lobby when they had a sale. Ethan picked it out and he also picked the colors to paint it. He even did the brush work on the nose cone and prop and helped with the decals, he is very proud. The whole thing took under an hour and well...for my first time ever using an airbrush i loved it :D
